FINAL SCORE: PHOENIX FC WOLVES 1, HARRISBURG CITY ISLANDERS 3
Phoenix, Ariz (July 31, 2013) -- Harrisburg City scored the first goal in the first half, with the goal coming from Matthew Bahner at the 24th minute. The first half proved to be a battle, however, Harrisburg was able to withstand Phoenix FC's sustained attack for the first half.
Phoenix FC struck next with Donny Toia netting his fifth goal of the season at the 49th minute assisted by David Paul. However, Lucky Mkosana fired back at the 66th minute assisted by Morgan Langley to take the lead. Although Phoenix FC showed strong play throughout the second half, Harrisburg forward Jamiel Hardware was able to strike one last time at the 90th minute.
The game saw the Phoenix FC debut of David Armstrong, on loan from the MLS side Colorado Rapids, and Carlos Valadez, a local amateur player.
Phoenix FC is back in action on August 10, 2013 at 4:30 PM at Reach 11 Sports Complex. Harrisburg City moves on to Los Angeles on August 3rd.
